sustainability week! we went to the beyond green symposium in the world fashion centre of amsterdam. an interesting day filled with speeches from people who actually know what's really going on in this cynical world. all ears to recycling! because if you don't do anything, no-one else will!

also there was this swap store. so, i swapped. and now ive got like two kindof new pieces of fashion. something some say that might become a real hype. no more consuming, just trade and swap.

last week my sister liza and i went to my favourite place on earth. london! fashion art music, its all there. at the arrival moment we both knew we wanted to fly to govent garden. the apple market is just lovely, unique stands with their own touch of creativity.
after visiting commercial spots like piccadilly circus and camden town we went to portobello road, notting hill. what can i say, its one of those places you'd like to stay forever. you really feel things, the people are so alive there. the market is endless, unique family jewelry and magical book stores everywhere. our trip was simply amazing.

feb 26th impression. my last minute present became the password for an amazing night. while everyone was busy, we went out for kicks and play in the hotel. dialing code 7 in the elevator and 'pling' we won the jackpot party. running around like immature idiots information overloaded, priceless. when the clock hit 00:00 we popped the champagne as my friends gave me the sweetest presents. with hazy eyes we arrived at the casino next door. a little rolling the dice, practising pokerfaces and spinning fruitmachines. halfway we went down town to dance in the dark like kids from the cobrasnake. when we woke up it was all a blur to me. we shaked the glitter of our clothes as we could tell eachother just by one glance, viva last night!

15/02 tops the cliche day before! the miss ilovefashionnews 010 final was on the planning for a while and this day it was the moment of truth. it was also the day where the first ilovefashionnewspaper would be revealed so we couldn't be more excited.

all day long i was surrounded by fashion and when it comes to my life, that's when i feel adrenaline moving through my veins. after packing hundreds of goodiebags i kicked backstage. i had to ''go go, your on- get ready to runway'' start my job as a dresser. the contestants looked great in there off the edge outfits ready to walk that walk. after the amazing show fashionblogger andy found herself covered in confetti wearing a tiara. congrat's- hands down you looked like a catwalk criminal, great.

we've been invited to a fashion show and we were thrilled to go. Samira Algoe had to bear the brunt. nowadays, the digitalization of the society is a big issue. of course fashion designers react on such things. Samira's collection is inspired by digatalism taking over society. her challenge is to make people think different, set them free from conventional ideas. the collection shows the vulnerability of men, related to fragile and friendly characters.

after a few snow blizzard adventures on our trip to amsterdam we arrived at this great apartment next to the carre theater. we figured it was a ten minute walk to the b&b so we wouldn't turn into ice sculptures again. i grabbed my tiara and a pair of white gloves and hit the party. dressed in a robert hall sweater acting like a soap opera queen, robin hood's bagels&beans birthday bash rocked aces.

i heard many stories about it and curious as i am, i had to see it for myself, appear as a witness. my friends got me convinced. standing in line, i could aready feel the energy. people cheering, laughing and wondering what was about to happen these four magical days.

so many different people, also so alike. never thought there would be a place in this world where it doesn't matter who you are or where your from, questions which appear in everyones daily lives. no shallow thoughts or wrong first impressions just acceptation- maybe modesty. people where alive there. wandering over the festival terrain, just so many possibilties. like i was dreaming awake, what a thrill. live background music played my favourites, impressive artists who shared there talents with us. the endless time of laughter, dance and happiness with my friends. every day brought us a new adventure, magnificent. paradise it was, an experience i'll never forget.

yesterday i went to the coldplay concert in Nijmegen. It was amazing, truly beautiful. i almost can't describe the blessed priveledge of being there, listening to the music that has always carried my heart. i espacially loved it when they played fix you and the piano version of the hardest part. every song tells a story. the artistry in the performance was unique. when they hit lovers in japan, the sky was filled with confetti paper butterflies. such a great atmosphere- magical.

i needed to dissapear. a moment to ease my mind, dream and wonder. i stood on the bridge near my house for a while. usually i don't think of it as a rare place. this time it was different. as i was standing there with my arms on the railing watching the trains go by, the summerbreeze warmth surrounded me. while my ipod played the background music it felt like the rest of the world faded away. i found myself protected. no tough thoughts, this was me.
